Kia ora! My name is Lauren Schumacher and I'm an English teacher originally from Taranaki, New Zealand.
I've been working in this field for almost 10 years and teaching is my passion.
I spent 7 years teaching English in Vietnam and now I'm back home in New Plymouth, helping our NZEA students to achieve their goals.
I have taught a variety of levels, from kindergarten to adult beginners, but IELTS is my specialty.

I am a graduate of Auckland University with 20 years’ experience in English language teaching both New Zealand and overseas. My own experience of studying languages in other countries gives me a unique insight into both how languages are acquired and the challenges faced by second language learners. I am passionate about my students’ success.

Years of working with IELTS candidates from around the world have brought me to this conclusion that what assure a candidate of success in IELTS are test experience and engagement. Unlike test knowledge, these are the only capabilities that accompany a candidate under test conditions.
