Alice’s role involves overseeing student support in both Christchurch and Auckland and marketing.

My own experience of studying languages in other countries gives me a unique insight into both how languages are acquired and the challenges faced by second language learners. Kia ora! I’m Lauren Schumacher, an English teacher hailing from Taranaki, New Zealand. Teaching has been my passion for more than a decade, and I’ve had the privilege of sharing my expertise for over 8 years in Vietnam before returning home to New Zealand. Now, as both an English teacher and Quality Assurance Manager at KIC, I’m dedicated to helping our students achieve their goals. With my background in education and commitment to excellence, I strive to ensure that every aspect of our programs maintains the highest standards, creating a supportive environment where learning flourishes.

For the past few years, I have been working as a private NCEA English Tutor, helping New Zealand high school students through their studies. Before this, I began studying to become a full ESOL Teacher while on exchange in Japan. Kingston has since given me an exciting opportunity to learn from both my co-workers and students as an assistant teacher and tutor. Our students are incredibly passionate and I hope to keep assisting them in their studies.
